The Education Specialist (EdS) degree with a major in teacher education is designed for those students who already possess a master’s degree in education. The Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education offers a Distance Education (DE) option for individuals who hold a master’s degree in education and who are employed as a Job-Embedded practitioner. A minimum of three years of teaching or related experience is required.
This online education specialist degree (EdS) allows teachers to continue working while gaining advanced skills and knowledge in their area of interest. Concentrations offered through the DE program are the Educational Technology concentration and the Practitioner concentration.
